A Ford E-350 van with what's described as a "Pulsejet V-1 Flying Bomb Motor" is currently one of our favorite things on Craigslist, and I just can't figure out why the ad has been allowed to be up for a month without a single one of you placing a bid.
Sure, the seller's diction might raise an eyebrow mentioning a "smelly-hooker-pirate" in the second line, but this is obviously an individual of exceptional creative genius. He created a godamn jet turbine van, I think he's earned the right to be a little eccentric.
Just image the possibilities of usefulness a vehicle like this presents— deliveries with all the speed of a jet, and none of the inconveniences of parking one, not to mention swagger in spades. Probably other stuff too.
You won't need to worry about whether those tires or flat or the van's just stuck in the mud once the turbine spools up, because aerodynamic or not this Econoline van is definitely going somewhere.
The seller doesn't actually get into much detail about how the engine is set up, powered, fueled, or functioning but don't let that deter you. If you'd just cracked the code of ultra-efficient overland cargo hauling, you wouldn't be spilling your secrets all over Craigslist either would you?
Stop being a pansy and make the guy an offer . See it if the ad disappears.
