Bros everywhere will crush cans in approval when they hear Houston firefighter Craig Moreau saved a Coors truck from burning by spraying beer on the blaze.
The Captain Moreau was driving home with his wife when they spotted smoke pouring off the brakes of the stalled 18-wheeler.
He pulled over immediately and attacked the fire with the truck's onboard extinguisher, which proved inadequate against flames that had begun to consume the tires.
After the truck driver told Moreau he was hauling a payload of beer, the two realized the gravity of the situation. Thinking fast they busted open the trailer and started furiously shaking cans then popping tops to hose that fire down like a wet t-shirt contestant at an Luke Bryan concert.
The fireman and truck driver were able to arrest the fire before on-duty public safety officials arrived.
Moreau said:
"I have no doubt if the beer hadn't been there, the whole trailer would have burned up. A few more minutes down the road and it may not have worked."
Beer saves the day. Or at least beer saves the beer, and a truck. I image fireman Moreau will be taking a few days off to rest that arm after a probably barrage of high-fives.
The truck driver reported he'd just had his brakes fixed, apparently not properly.
