Dearest BMW, purveyor of be-roundeled four- and two-wheel goods. There is a magical land where cars fly through the air and bounce off each other like angry little pinballs! It’s World Rallycross, and if you’re thinking about it, you should do it.
Two-time DTM champ Timo Scheider confirmed to that he’s in “deep discussions” with BMW about a possible World Rallycross entry. Scheider retired from DTM at the end of the 2016 season and raced full-time in World Rallycross last year.
He raced with BMW for the Nürburgring 24 Hours this year, so he’s trying to bring BMW over to rallycross now. Going to rallycross would jive with BMW’s , too, as various series keep talking about these itty bitty rallycross cars .
Look, there’s no secret we love rally-anything more than, well, almost anything. It’s racing with sweet jumps! And dirt! And did we mention the jumps? Thus, the idea of a little BMW in the mix pleases us greatly.
Do it, BMW! Do it or you will feel true sadness when the other little cars get to fly and none of them are yours.
