Pierer Mobility updated its small-displacement motorcycles for 2024, including the KTM 390 Duke, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, and Husqvarna Vitpilen 401. The latter are nearly identical while KTM, the Ready to Race brand, features stiffer suspension settings, Track mode, and launch control. But all three share the same chassis, suspension, and engine. Separating the Vitpilen 401 and the Svarpilen 401 is styling, handlebar height, and wheel/tire setup..embed-container { position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; } .embed-container iframe, .embed-container object, .embed-container embed { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; }For 2024, Husqvarna’s Vitpilen 401 receives an updated and larger 399cc DOHC liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with a revised six-speed transmission, two ride modes (Street, Rain), two ABS settings (Standard, Supermoto), a quickshifter, and adjustable traction control. Its steel trellis frame is now larger and wider with increased torsional rigidity, and the shock has been offset on the cast aluminum swingarm to accommodate a new airbox and lower seat height (32.3 inches). Updated suspension complements the new engine and chassis. The Vitpilen 401 features a 43mm WP Apex fork with five clicks of rebound and compression adjustability and a WP Apex shock offering rebound and preload adjustability. Available suspension travel measures 5.9 inches at both ends.

How Much Power Does the 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 Make?1

Before hitting our inhouse Dynojet 250i dynamater, the Vitpilen 401 weighed 363 pounds on our automotive scales. On the Cycle World dyno, the 2024 Husqvarna Vitpile 401 produced 38.9 hp at 9,050 rpm and 23.9 lb.-ft. of torque at 6,670 rpm at the business end of its 17-inch cast wheels and Michelin Power 6 tires. Keep the throttle twisted and the revs high; the 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 is one of the best-performing engine packages in the lightweight class.
