Jalopnik Reviews: 2006 Audi A6 4.2 Quattro, Part 3-April 2024

It's one of the most stylish, fast, and comfortable cars available on the market. And it's got more technology in it than the Space Shuttle.

The A6 isn't nearly as fun to drive as the performance number or price tag would suggest. Also, for anybody that can't afford a $65,000 car, it's not worth a second mortgage.

For $2,200, Would You Revive This 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer’s Faded Glory?
The sides of today’s Grand Wagoneer have gone from mighty oak to faded driftwood. That’s just part of the patina that covers this classic 4X4, let’s see if its price makes lifting the veil worth the effort. Yesterday’s fell in a narrow but decisive 56-percent Crack Pipe loss. I must...

For $9,000, Could This 2013 Locost 7 Really Be All That Super?
Like the Shelby Cobra, there are more Lotus 7 replicas in the world than there are the real deal. Cars like today’s Triumph-based 7 give much the same visceral experience at a fraction of the cost. We’ll have to decide if that’s still too big a fraction. While their Pagoda-roofed...

The 2017 Kia Soul! Makes You Realize How Good A Box Can Be
I’m not sure what it says about our world that the most objectively rational design for a small, useful car—a box on wheels—is considered weird by almost everyone. Kia sells such a car, the Soul. This version, the Soul ! with that stupid , adds a bit of punch to...

For $59,999, Could This 2002 BMW M Coupe Be The Ultimate Clownshoe?
The seller of today’s BMW M Coupe says it’s one of only 678 offered with the S54 powerhouse. Let’s see if that, its seemingly immaculate condition, and its price has you saying send in the clowns. Let’s disambiguate the genus of last Friday’s , shall we? Lotus—Locost—Lost. That’s pretty much...

For $17,999, Could This 1971 VW Type 2 Have You Wanting To Get On The Bus?
Today’s VW Bus is a model once associated with hippies, but which is now just hip. This one has a GM Ecotec in its butt, let’s see if that, and its build will make you hip to its price. I’m going to tell you right off the bat that I....

If You're Going To Buy A Mazda RX-8 Now Is Probably The Time
Don’t buy a , but if you’re going to anyway, now is probably the best time to do so. Have you looked up Mazda RX-8 listings lately? The consensus seems to be that running, decently-maintained examples are going for about $4,000—that’s for a genuinely fun sports car with a rotary...
