Jump Onboard Rod Millen's 850 HP Pikes Peak Celica For Its Uphill Run
Jump Onboard Rod Millen's 850 HP Pikes Peak Celica For Its Uphill Run-July 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:40

At first glimpse at the paddocks, it looks like a crazy prototype that’s way past its glory days. Then, they push the start button, end everything changes.

Rod Millen’s Toyota Celica is twenty-one years old, yet it run the third best time up the hill on Sunday at Goodwood. Big wings, and 850 horsepower turbo engine and some pure insanity.

He crossed the finish line at over 130mph. Not bad for an old timer.

In 1994, this car won Pikes Peak with a record time of 10:04.060, some 40 seconds faster than the previous record holder, Nobuhiro Tajima’s equally insane Suzuki Swift.
