We can all admit that the mint-green paint on this 538-mile 2017 is good, even if the car has been ignored, sitting aimlessly for the past two years for likely no purpose other than to flip it as soon as contractually possible. What we can all also admit—hopefully, at least—is that it was too expensive.

The current generation of the Ford GT, which has been out for a few years now, was to a select few people whom Ford deemed worthy enough to buy the vehicles. The cars before options, and to keep them all from being flipped right away, Ford made buyers agree not to resell the cars for two years. Some listened, .

That resale agreement has officially expired on this GT, its through Arkansas dealership Elite Autos says, and it’s now listed for a full $1.3 million—far more than its original owner likely spent on it. Given that the car is from the 2017 model year, it’s on the earlier end of the agreement expirations.

But that’s not the important part. The important part is the paint, which the sale listing says is a “one off” special-order color called Atlas Green. It was a $30,000 additional option, according to the listing.

And, sure, it’s pretty. But is it $30,000 pretty? No. This is paint we’re talking about, folks, and there are many other, better uses of $30,000. With that much money, any of us could:

Retire earlier. Help fund your own cat sanctuary.Buy a (paint included). Buy any brand-new vehicle, at or below the . Give to charity.Cover of an expedition to see the Titanic wreckage.Buy a used . Mount Everest. (.) Buy 43 new . Go on an eight-day, all-inclusive vacation in Los Cabos during the slow season, roughly 15 times. Wrap the same car in that color, and have a lot of cash left over.

Or we could pay for some paint that we’re going to drive around in for 538 miles before throwing our poor, forgotten supercar onto the secondhand market as it wails, “Dear owner, why have you forsaken me?”

It’s our choice, really. Or it would be, if any of us losers had $30,000 just sitting around for this kind of thing.

For $2,200, This 1968 Wards Riverside 250 Could Be Your Demitasse Of Fun
Montgomery Ward was founded in 1872 as a mail order retailer. Nearly 100 years later one of the things you could mail order from the company was an Italian bike like today’s Riverside. We’ll have to see if this survivor is worth saying, the check is in the mail. Today...

I Drove A Lexus RC 350 1,000 Miles Just To Find The Best Buffalo Wings Anywhere
A few months ago I traveled from New York City to Buffalo on a quest for the best chicken wings anywhere. I took a 2015 Lexus RC 350 AWD to get there because I needed something that could gobble up the miles without any drama while being comfortable. The thing...

For $3,250, Give This 1978 Yamaha RD400 A Stroke Or Two
Two stroke bikes are bad for the environment, but good for the fun-vironment. Today’s RD400 might be a bit dirty, but will this restored bike’s price prove a low down dirty shame? While many of you wanted to be sitting by the Doka the bay, fully 83% of you felt...

Check Out This 1988 VW Doka For $27,000
VW never officially sold the Vanagon-based Dokas (Double Cab) in the U.S., but like so many forbidden fruits today’s contender proved desirable enough for somebody to do it on their own. Will its present price prove equally desirable? So, last Friday 52% of you unapologetically voted Crack Pipe for a...

How About This 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5 For $10,000?
When life gives you lemons you‘re supposed to make lemonade, and when it gives you Corollas, you should definitely make something like today’s SR5. We’ll just have to see if its price is a sour note. Did you know that if it weren’t for retailer Montgomery Ward we wouldn’t have...

For $25,667, This 1993 Acura NSX Says Mahalo
Yes, most of the pictures of today’s NSX appear to have been taken in Texas, but to buy this hot Honda you’ll actually have to catch a plane to Honolulu. Even if if the car proves unworthy of its price, that’s not a half bad deal, right? I don’t honestly...
