Lamborghini Finally Gets Serious About Racing With Huracán GT3

2024-02-19 EST 22:11:49

If you've ever wondered why pants-on-face-bonkers supercar manufacturer Lamborghini doesn't really have a factory racing effort, well, they're about to fix that. They're developing a for FIA GT3 racing. You're welcome.

Lamborghini has dabbled in racing for years, both with the one-make as well as giving some support to the team of , who have run Diablos, Gallardos and Murciélagos in the past.

Remember the Gallardo Super Trofeo? That was an all-wheel drive car with 570 horsepower. The new…

This entry from Lamborghini places it head-to-head (or rather, wheel-to-wheel) with the new . I can't wait to see this much awesomeness on one track at once. While we're at it, does anyone else want to announce a new GT3 car today? The more, the merrier.

BMW has been racing the Z4 in GT3 competition since 2010. While it is still cool, it is getting…

IndyCar Driver Gets Flipped Off Like A Prius Hogging Two Lanes
You’d expect these gestures to be made at a slow Prius straddling two lanes—not an IndyCar. Ed Carpenter was not happy with IndyCar competitor Sage Karam after the Iowa Corn 300. Not happy at all. In fact, Carpenter was so mad at Karam that he shot over a single-fingered salute...

Best Band Name Ever Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. Drops Driver From Their Name
Two of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s fans started a catchy dance-pop band called Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., a name which they kept with Dale Jr.’s blessing. Sadly, that era came to an end as they shorten the name to “JR JR” to avoid further confusion, but of their driver-centric name is...

Celebrate National Ice Cream Day With One Of F1's Greatest Moments
Today was National Ice Cream Day, and there was no Formula One racing all day. When the racing stops, that’s the perfect time to get an ice cream—as driver Kimi Räikkönen did during a red flagged race at the 2009 Malaysian Grand Prix. There was an issue with Räikkönen’s car...

How Kyle Busch Threaded Through The Leaders To Take The Lead And Win
Look at this tight little pass. Look and marvel. This is how Kyle Busch got back on the lead lap after being stuck a lap behind. Busch was on fresh tires, but the leaders were not. Since Busch had more speed, he just threaded right on through and got back...
