Lamborghini Finally Gets Serious About Racing With Huracán GT3

If you've ever wondered why pants-on-face-bonkers supercar manufacturer Lamborghini doesn't really have a factory racing effort, well, they're about to fix that. They're developing a for FIA GT3 racing. You're welcome.

This entry from Lamborghini places it head-to-head (or rather, wheel-to-wheel) with the new . I can't wait to see this much awesomeness on one track at once. While we're at it, does anyone else want to announce a new GT3 car today? The more, the merrier.

BMW has been racing the Z4 in GT3 competition since 2010. While it is still cool, it is getting…

Why A ‘Zombie Dodge’ Raced In NASCAR On Saturday

I Got This Job After Beating Matt Hardigree In A Rental Car Deathmatch
Most of the writers here got their start in more humble ways like “applying” or “writing a lot on .” I did a lot of that last one, too. But before that, I also owned Jalopnik’s then-editor-in-chief Matt Hardigree in the ultimate regular-car track battle first—and I’ve waited nearly four...

NASCAR Updates Its Manufacturer Standings To Make Ram Less Of A 'Zombie'
On Sunday, we in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race since Dodge, you know, left the sport years ago. The post had a screenshot of 2014 manufacturer standings that didn’t even give poor Ram trucks its own logo, which NASCAR has since changed. In an illustration of just how far out...

Here's Exactly How Far Helmets Have Come In 100 Years, In 150 Seconds
In the good old days, men were “men,” America was apparently “great,” and the only helmet anybody needed was a dashing cow-skin hat with cute little ear flaps. Then a lot of people died, and over a century later, heads go racing with the comfort of padding, radios and water...

The Original Checkered Flags Might Have Just Meant 'Dinnertime'
In racing, the checkered flag is the ultimate goal—making it there, and making it there before everyone else. Passing under that flag first is synonymous with sweet, sweet victory, but it wasn’t always that way. At one time, it might have just meant ‘stop racing and come eat dinner.’ Happy...
