The Land Rover Discovery Sport is set to be released come September 3 2014 along with stable buddy the Jaguar XE. The Discovery Sport willreplace the underrated Land Rover Freelander as Land Rover looks to end the Freelander name in favour of the more popular Discovery moniker.
Interestingly the video shows a seven-seater styled layout with the middle row of seats running on sliders to give the rear occupants a bit more room.
The video also shows an enormous panoramic roof that runs the entire length of the roof.
The Discovery Sport is an evolution of the Land Rover Discovery Vision concept shown a few months ago. The Discovery Sport is likely to roll on an elongated chassis from the Evoque and share diesel and petrol engines with it as well.
