Maserati Quattroporte Trofeo

: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that both sedans would be ending production. It’s now been updated to clarify that only the Ghibli V8 and Quattroporte are set to go away for now.

Maserati has confirmed to that it’s reorganizing its lineup: V8 powered Ghibli’s and the Quattroporte sedan are due to end production at the end of 2023.

For those that have been following the news, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Maserati had already said that it was looking to. The end of using the Ferrari sourced V8 engine also follows the brand EV stragety of downsizing engines before going all electric. As a swan song, the of the Ghibli and Levante celebrate the V8 before it bows out. Not all is lost if you’re a Maserati sedan fan though, the Quattroporte won’t be gone for long.

It would seem that a new Quattroporte is due out in 2025, at least according to a recent report by . Car and Driver is also speculating that the Levante crossover is not long for this world either, though we’ll have to wait and see how that pans out.

For those that still want to purchase a Ghibli or Quattroporte, Maserati says both sedans will stay on through the end of their lifecycles. If you’re wanting to get your hand on a V8 Ghibli, you can also check out the special edition Ghibli Ultima.
