Mini have revealed two new special edition models, the Mini Baker Street and Mini Bayswater, which will go on sale in South Africa in March 2012. Both special editions come with a number of unique features but the Mini Baker Street does focus more on being trendy and youthful while the Bayswater focuses on looking sporty.
The Mini Baker Street comes with a new interior and exterior design, as well as special bonnet stripes, 16 inch 6-Star twin-spoke light alloy wheels and black exterior mirror caps. To add to the unique feel of this special edition, Baker Street lettering is found on the side scuttles of the car. Inside the car the leather/cloth seats have been revamped, the floor mats have light-grey stitching, the gearshift lever as well as the handbrake and seat tags have the same Baker Street lettering as found outside. There are a number of other minor tweaks as well.
The Mini Bayswater comes in Kite Blue metallic exterior paint which is exclusive to this model. The wheels are 17 inch light alloy and come with high-gloss black surfaces and bright machined rim and spoke edges. Like the Baker Street, the Bayswater reminds you exactly what car you are driving by having the lettering of its name along the side of the indicator surrounds, door sills and seat tags. There are stainless steel pedals as well as a number of other optional features and individual touches. The Bayswater can be ordered as a Mini Cooper which produces 90 kW or as a Cooper S which produces 135 kW.
