The second-generation Volkswagen Golf GTI is powered by a naturally-aspirated 16-valve, 1.8-litre petrol engine with 95 kW and 168 Nm of torque and mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. Zero to 100 kph was claimed at 9.0 seconds but we wouldn't be surprised to see some modifications under the bonnet when Saleem reveals the final product.
