BMW have just revealed the latest information on the new 2013 X6 which they consider to be the first ever Sports Activity Coupe. Since its release, the vehicle has sold over 150 000 units and with the latest model range being offered with an M sport package option, these numbers can only improve.
Along with this news BMW have released details on the BMW X6 M50D which completes 0-100km/h in just 5.3 seconds. Fuel economy figures clock in around 7.6 litres/100km. The X6 M50D comes with an 8-speed sports automatic transmission with enhanced gearshift dynamics and xDrive all-wheel drive system.
The new 2013 BMW X6 will also be available with the M performance package. With this package, the engine is upgraded and produces an additional 15hp for the xDrive35i and an additional 40hp on the xDriver50i. The M Performance package will also include 20-inch light alloy wheels, black chrome exhaust tips, stainless steel pedals, M foot rest and door sills as well as shadowline exterior trim and optional Carbon Black metallic paint. There is also a 6-speed M Sport automatic transmission and separately developed suspension technology.
The new 2013 BMW X6 comes with adaptive LED headlamps in the front and back as an option, which makes it the first vehicle in its class with this option. The standard foglights are now set in matt finish surrounds. Thanks to the new styling in the front, the vehicle now has a wider stance and wider track which highlights its road-holding ability.
There are now additional options for paint finishes, along with updated light alloy wheels and leather trim. The leather upholstery is now available in Vermillion Red along with Nappa Leather upholstery which comes in Ivory White. While the vehicle comes standard as a 4-seat model, there is the option for a 3-seat rear bench.
