Nice Price Or Crack Pipe: 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis For $15,000?
Nice Price Or Crack Pipe: 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis For $15,000?-May 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:10:20

Sometimes you look at the price of a car for sale and you ask yourself, "Is that a pretty good deal, or would I have to be smoking the rock to pay that much?" That's what is all about, and we're going to follow up yesterday's - which 65% of you felt went for way too much green- with another Detroit classic. This time it's a super-cherry 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis, a car with just 4,054 miles on the clock. This has got to be the nicest '78 Grand Marquis in the world, and it's got all the options: 460 engine, power everything, cruise control, even the player. But fifteen grand? What do you think?

, thanks to for the tip!

Ford last produced the Ranchero in 1979, which coincidentally was the same year they introduced their large-car Panther platform. Today's custom Crown Vic is a super freaky melange of the two, but does its price make it worth picking up? Yesterday's may have been named - in its home market...

Porsche's first V8-engined road car, the 928, was originally intended to replace the 911. That didn't happen, but today's 911 has had its rear-mounted flat-6 replaced by a V8. That might make it an 829, but does its price make it irreplaceable? If the ancient idiom that one man's meat...

At 7,382 feet, the Pordoi Pass is this highest road in Italy's Dolomite mountain range. Today's Triumph Dolomite is set up for the track rather than the road, but would you have to be high to pay its asking price? As frightening as the prospect of the first full-chat apex...
