Nice Price Or Crack Pipe: 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis For $15,000?-December 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:10:20

Sometimes you look at the price of a car for sale and you ask yourself, "Is that a pretty good deal, or would I have to be smoking the rock to pay that much?" That's what is all about, and we're going to follow up yesterday's - which 65% of you felt went for way too much green- with another Detroit classic. This time it's a super-cherry 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis, a car with just 4,054 miles on the clock. This has got to be the nicest '78 Grand Marquis in the world, and it's got all the options: 460 engine, power everything, cruise control, even the player. But fifteen grand? What do you think?

Street Legal Performance was founded in 1987 by a former drag racer, the deliciously-named Ed Hamburger. Today’s Camaro is a rare SLP-enhanced SS. Let’s see if its price takes the cake. Just like Rodney Dangerfield, Alfa Romeo owners tend to get no respect. Owning an Alfa means you almost...

Porsche Drove a Custom Off-Road 911 Higher Than a Piper Cub Can Fly
When developing a new car, automakers have to do a lot of testing. They need to see how a new model will fare in extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow, to ensure customers who take their shiny new cars up to Alaska or down to Death Valley don’t get...

Honda Rumored to Be Working on God's Perfect Vehicle: An EV Prelude
If I owned a car company, I’d focus on starting out with one perfect car. It would have to be sporty, to establish the brand’s character and act as a halo product, but still relatively affordable — if no one’s buying your first car, you don’t have enough money...

At $29,500, Is This 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6 a Spectacular Deal?
There are two anomalies in the ad for today’s Alfa Romeo. One involves the price and the other the engine’s displacement. Let’s see if we can get to the bottom of both. The holiday season is upon us, and for many, that means traveling to visit friends and family,...
