Nissan Juke Nismo debuts at Le Mans
Nissan Juke Nismo debuts at Le Mans-April 2024
2023-12-14 EST 02:30:53

The Nissan Juke Nismo production version is currently on display at the Le Mans 24 Hour endurance race alongside the revolutionary Nissan Deltawing and Nissan Juke-R. The Juke Nismo was first seen as a concept at the Tokyo and Geneva International Motor Shows and the performance enhanced production version will go on sale in Europe in January 2013.

Nissan Juke Nismo is sporty and fun

Aerodynamic Styling

The Juke Nismo shares similarities with the current Nissan Juke design and incorporates a blend of sport coupé lines with striking SUV styling and is influenced by Nismo’s vast motor sport expertise. The Nissan Juke Nismo exhibits a newly engineered aerodynamics kit that gives it a more efficient, dynamic and powerful design.

The Nissan Juke Nismo features lower front and rear bumpers, wider wings and sill side skirts and a modified grille and tailgate spoiler which controls airflow. The improved aerodynamics reduces front and rear lift while minimising drag and improving the driving performance of the Juke Nismo. Grip and handling is improved with 18” alloy wheels and wider tyres.

Engine and Suspension

The Nissan Juke Nismo is fitted with a tuned-up 1.6-litre direct injection turbocharged petrol engine taking inspiration from the Deltawing Le Mans race car. Stiffer suspension settings and steering modifications offer sportier direct handling and improved traction control. The new model will also be available with torque vectoring that will improve the grip and cornering capability of the Nissan Juke Nismo.

Interior Styling

The Nissan Juke Nismo interior has undergone Nismo treatment with the steering wheel, pedals, gauges, gear knob and door trims being redesigned to offer a sporty appeal while driving. The sport theme is further entrenched in the special suede-trimmed Nismo sports seats with red stitching that offer additional hold while cornering.

The Nissan Juke Nismo will be built at Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK in Sunderland. Further details and specifications will be announced closer to launch. There is currently no indication that the Nissan Juke Nismo will be made available in South Africa.
