The 2013 edition of the Parx Super Car Show was held at the Mahalaxmi Race Course, RWITC on January 26 and 27. Thousands of visitors gathered to see these beautiful machines which are not commonly seen. Visitors got an opportunity to witness cars from manufacturers like Ferrari, Mercedes, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Porsche and BMW,
Hannu Mikola, the world champion rally driver was the guest of honour. He also took part in the drive by accompanying Audi race driver Aditya Patel in an Audi R8.
Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, the first car to be seen by all the visitors once they reached the race course.
Aston Martin had their V8 Vantage Coupe on display at a fair distance from the other cars, so that the visitors could take their own time to admire this machine and not get distracted by the other cars.
Gautam Singhania , chief managing director of Raymond India and founder of the Super Car Club had got this Ferrari 458 Challenge to the show as well.
Lamborghini had their recently-launched Aventator Roadster displayed at their dedicated stall. This is one place where visitors were spending most of their time, including me. This 700bhp machine costs Rs 4.77 crore (ex-showroom Delhi) making it one of the most expensive cars available in the country.
A completely different look for the Mercedes Benz G55 AMG.
The crowd wasn't paying much attention to other side of the race course, where cars like the BMW 650i, Z4 and the M3 stood. Understandable, when machines like the 458 Italia and Aventador were around.
The RS5 is quite an understated car, even on an ordinary day. However, the crowd seemed to know what lurked under the hood of this car, and they couldn't have enough of it.
The MTT Turbine Superbike stole the show. This is one of the most powerful production motorcycles in the world. The crowd went mad when Gautam Singhania fired it up.
After the display event ended, it was time to flag off the drive. These exotic cars were going for a lap of honour, so to speak, before returning to the race course.
