The pilot of this CR-V mistakenly thought the cute ute was light enough to traverse a thinly frozen lake. The rig was essentially submerged, but locals were able to extract it with wood, rope, and good old fashioned Russian ingenuity.
It's amazing what you can accomplish with mechanical advantage, keep that in mind next time you're mired on a trail.
Though I doubt any insurance company will foot the bill to repair a first gen CR-V, at least the lake will be spared some of the pollutants it would have contributed sitting at the bottom. There's some text at the end that might describe the fate of the car or at least give some back story, but someone else will have to fill us in because I can't type Russian into Google Translate.
