The Swedish Armed Forces have purchased 102 BvS10 treaded vehicles to add to their existing fleet of 48 from BAE Systems at about $1.18 million a piece. And who could blame them, isn't this just the most precious people mover you've ever seen?
The Dutch, French and British Armed Forces also utilize the cute little rig which is capable of sustaining attacks from small arms, RPGs, and mines.
It can run in temperatures from -46°C to 49°C, is fully amphibious, and fits ever-so-daintily inside a C-130 Hercules or C-17 Globemaster III for aerial transportation.
The BvS10 can also be fitted with a 12.7mm or 7.62mm machine gun, with which it can blast through its veil of harmlessness and pepper unsuspecting foes with hot lead. The Swedes ordered Protector remote weapon stations (RWS), radio and battlefield management systems, plus smoke grenade launchers to deal 360 degrees of destruction from their adorable treaded military machines.
The Swede's order will be filled by a production facility in Örnsköldsvik, probably to a higher standard than the IKEA piece you built by the same name.
