The "Stadium Super Trucks" series that NASCAR-turned-off-road racer started and won last year is two races into its second season, and is now getting in front of massive audiences with a little help from INDY car.
Some 75,000 people showed up to the INDY race at St. Petersburg, Florida yesterday, where Stadium Super Trucks ran as a sideshow. It will also be televised on NBCSN next month.
I have yet to make it to a Stadium Super Trucks event myself, but pickups with way too much power and too little grip sounds like a riot to me and motorsports fans seem to love it. Is this series ready to break out of sideshow relegation?
