This Geo Metro Convertible Only Has 548 Miles And Could Be Yours
This Geo Metro Convertible Only Has 548 Miles And Could Be Yours-December 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:13:45

I can't imagine you'll ever see anything quite like this again. Somebody is selling a with only 548 miles for the low price of $8000.

Many of us fantasize about a weekend car for cruising, canyon carving, or attacking our local race track. A car that throws practicality aside for pure driving enjoyment. Therefore, Car Buying has scoured the internet to find a ride for your perfect

The first generation Geo Metro was sold in the US as a re-badged Suzuki Cultus from 1989-1994. It was also sold here as the Suzuki Swift. The Metro is notable as being one of the only cars sold in America with a 3 cylinder engine which gave the car hybrid-like gas mileage.

It's not a car that would thrill you every time you turned the key, but perhaps a good option if you want drop-top motoring and saving on gas. Or maybe you really want something with only three cylinders. I don't know–I can't read your mind.

The seller claims that the car was stored in a garage after it was purchased, and the interior pictures serve to back up that claim. The reason why someone purchased a Geo Metro back in 1991 and stored it for 23 years isn't mentioned in the ad posting.

I'm struggling to believe that anyone thought this was going to be a collectors item when it was new, so it's quite a mystery as to why it sat for such a long time. It's one thing when someone buys something super exclusive like, I don't know, a that will undoubtedly climb in value, but a Metro?

There's nothing wrong with the Metro if it's the sort of car you're into, but did anyone really think these things were going to appreciate? Perhaps the person bought it, hated it, and put it away for all these years. We may never know.

Maybe I'm wrong and this could end up being a collectors item some day, sharing the auction stage with 250 GTOs and 300SL Gullwings at Pebble Beach. You know what? It's probably that.

It's got new tires, wipers, hoses, plus a new battery and fuel pump, which means it will probably work fairly well after sitting for all that time.

So if you want what has to be the best Geo Metro Convertible in the country, here's the car for you and if you do end up buying it please write about it so we can all vicariously experience the greatness of a showroom fresh Geo Metro.

I Ordered A Carbon-Fiber Roof For My Porsche 996 Turbo And I Might Throw Up A Little
I bought maybe the cheapest Porsche 996 Turbo—that’s right, —on the market a year ago, and I’ve mostly been happily stacking miles on the odometer since then. I have been working on making the car my own with a period-correct set of wheels, some extra carbon trim, and a...
