Spec Racer Ford driver Eric Vassian not only caught a major wipe-out in front of him at the Sports Car Club of America Majors race at Sebring, he caught a lot of debris to the face.
Welcome to , a feature where we spend that pesky time between race weekends looking at awesome footage from inside the car.
Luckily, no one appears to have been hurt, but you have to think that walls right next to track-out are why SAFER barriers exist. Impacts like this are what they're designed for, however, they're often pretty pricey, too, which is a shame. It'd be great if it were feasible to have them everywhere like this.
Whacking a bunch of tires when you run wide on a closely-walled track like Sebring is going to predictably 'splode all over the place.
Either way, watch as Vassian's awesome reflexes keep him from taking a tire to his helmet.
