Man, the curbing at Mexico’s Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez looks rough. Felipe Nasr’s Sauber Formula One car suffered this crazy wing failure after riding the curbs during Free Practice 1 for the Mexican Grand Prix.
The end of the wing to the driver’s right appears to have snapped right at the upright support that attaches it to the nose of the car.
The wing shattered into carbon fiber confetti out on track, triggering a red flag to pick it all up.
After a quick clean-up, the practice session went back to green. Nasr was able to drive into the pits safely for a new wing.
