If you have no idea why you should be watching the Rolex 24 at Daytona, beyond the fact that GT-based enduros are almost always pretty swell, you have the added factor of it being the first-ever race of . No, Virginia, there is no more Grand Am, and there is no more American Le Mans Series. The two have joined their houses, and for the first time ever, Grand Am Prototypes will race against their Le Mans counterparts, and there'll even be a class for alternative-fuel vehicles. Hey, neat!
Yesterday we heard some rumblings that the merged version of America's two sports car racing series
So while you sit at home, and wonder why the middle of the goddamn Yukon is warmer than where you are (), rest assured that winter motorsports starts early in Florida. The forecast high for today is 68 degrees Fahrenheit, which means it should be a fine day for racing.
