Weekend Motorsports Roundup, June 20-21, 2015
Weekend Motorsports Roundup, June 20-21, 2015-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:40

Welcome to the Jalopnik , where we let you know what’s going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?

Sunday isn’t just Father’s Day, but it’s also Summer Solstice—the longest day of the year. What better day is there to start off with a little Formula One? While many of us are still probably feeling the lag from Le Mans last weekend, F1 heads to Austria’s Red Bull Ring. NASCAR’s Sprint Cup takes a rare weekend off, but NASCAR Xfinity and ARCA are still here to keep the roundy-round action going. It’s a lighter weekend for motorsport, but even then, NHRA heads to Bristol, World Superbikes are at Misano, and we even get delayed showings of MotoAmerica on TV. Is F1 not your choice for a lazy Sunday morning? There’s also a mini-morning-marathon of BTCC on Sunday, too.

Feel like you’ve watched it all in the meantime? You’ve got the longest days of the year to work with. Find your local track, and enjoy. (I’m actually home for a change, so that’s probably where I’ll be.)

If you know about anything we missed, or about good livestreams out there, let us know in the comments below.

Does Nissan Even Care About Motorsports In North America Anymore?
Nissan’s North American motorsport efforts in 2016 were marked by a renewed focus on production cars: vehicles like the GT-R that they could point to and say, “We sell that!” Problem is, Nissan’s factory effort in Pirelli World Challenge, called Always Evolving, will be losing their factory support for 2017,...

Your Favorite Formula One Drivers Are Still Richer Than You'll Ever Be
How much does your favorite Formula One driver make? Answer: a lot. Even the series’ lowest-paid driver—Sauber’s Pascal Wehrlein—still makes $150,000 in 2017, per list of drivers’ salaries.
