Welcome to the Jalopnik Weekend Motorsports Roundup, where we let you know what's going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?
Like racing? Like open wheel racing?
Well then you're gonna like this weekend. Not only do we have the Malaysian Grand Prix from Formula One, but we've also got the beginning of the Indy season. This Sunday, we've got real street racing, with real open-wheel racers, in a (somewhat) real place called "Florida."
No, street courses are not just for Monaco. And while the Indy series not bring the sheer force and brutality of an F1 car, Indy racers are still mind-blowingly fast, and honestly may feature the better racing. Especially where the viewer is concerned. Just check out last year's race:
Of course, there's another type of Indy racing this weekend. Specifically, the BTCC debut at the Brands Hatch Indy. Our man will be in that one as well, so make sure to watch. Dude gets around.
As always, let us know about anything we missed, or about good livestreams out there, in the comments.
