What Do You Want To Know About the 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera T?-October 2024

Because I simply this summer, I’ve got the . It’s the lighter-weight, not as hardcore, very slightly easier on the bank account version of the 991.2, and I’ve tasked myself with seeing how this package really comes together.

Since the press fleet in Texas isn’t exactly stocked up on Porsche offerings, the folks at threw me the keys to their shiny new Guards Red Carrera T to test out. How kind of them.

This example packs an MSRP of $115,770, with a few options including rear axle steering, heated multifunction steering wheel, Porsche entry and drive, 18-way adaptive sports seats, power steering plus, chrono package with Porsche Track Precision App, the Bose surround system, and lane change assist. Out back, it’s powered by Porsche’s new 370-horsepower 3.0-liter flat-six, hooked up to a seven-speed manual gearbox.

And there’s the signature weight-saving touches here, like straps for door handles, lightweight glass in the rear and rear side windows and less sound deadening material throughout. Who needs it?

I suspect this will be a fun one to throw around, have plenty of punch in and out of the corners, will catch a few second looks from passersby. There are certainly a few questions of my own to answer, but I’m curious what you all want to know about this machine.
